“The soul, creativity or love put into something; The essence of yourself that is put into your work.”
Henna and Abbie
Two friends brought together by their passion for all things health, wellness, motherhood and happiness.
Abbie (redhead) originally from the UK settled in Bowral with her husband Ben and two young boys. Abbie was working in the corporate world before becoming a Mum and during maternity leave decided to follow her desire of becoming a Pilates Instructor. Abbie spent a year in the UK completing her Pilates diploma with Master Pilates Instructor Sarah Harris.
Henna originally from Finland also moved to the Southern Highlands to bring up her young family and during that time studied to become a Yoga teacher with Kate from Bowral Yoga Studio. Henna’s yoga journey began 10 years ago whilst living in Thailand, where she discovered her love for yoga and meditation. Juggling the crazy Mum and work life, it was evident yoga bought a sense of relaxation and balance to her life, leading her to want to do her teacher training to be able to share the practice with others.
A Yoga teacher and a Pilates instructor as best friends – surely the next step was to join forces and that’s exactly what Abbie and Henna did which was when Meraki was born. Their main objective with Meraki is to create a warm, welcoming space to move, interact and feel good – no judgement. Not just a studio where members come and go as numbers, but more of a community, a tribe, a space to build each other up and truly support all.
